When the Spirit Moves, the Nation Reflects

Image
As Christians living in Mauritius, we cannot ignore that the Church and the nation often move in parallel. What happens in the spiritual life of the Church quietly shapes the atmosphere of the land. When the Gospel was preached with power, like the time when Ciceron came and believers gathered with one heart, there was unity among churches. People prayed together, worshipped together, and focused on Christ rather than on labels. In that same season, the country witnessed political unity as parties formed alliances, speaking the language of togetherness and shared vision. The Bible reminds us: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation.” Matthew 12:25 With time, differences arose. In the Church, interpretations varied, leadership visions clashed, and some separations happened, not always out of rebellion, but often out of misunderstanding, wounded hearts, or pride. New churches were formed, many of which today are established and influential. Politics fol...

CHURCH BEHAVIOR

Image
Many people have stopped going to church not because they lost faith in God, but because they were hurt by the behavior of people inside the church. We often fail to realize how our words, actions, and attitudes can push souls away instead of drawing them closer to Christ. We are called to win souls, not drive them away. Yet some leave because they faced judgment, gossip, manipulation, or hypocrisy within the very place that should have brought healing and love. Some preach about love but speak harshly to others. Some sing about unity but create division. Some teach about humility but act with pride. Some pray for revival but secretly rejoice when others fall. And sadly, some gossip more inside the church than people who don’t even know God. Nowadays, some act more like influencers than servants of God—seeking attention, visibility, or admiration instead of serving with humility. Ministry is not about fame, followers, or stage lights. It’s about reflecting Christ quietly, f...

Epic Bible Stories for the Single Man

Image
Being single can feel lonely sometimes, especially when society keeps throwing pressure about marriage, family, and status. But if you look at the Bible, you’ll find some of the most powerful men of God walked their journey single, and God used them mightily. Old Testament – David and Goliath David was just a young shepherd, no title, no wife, no crown on his head. His own brothers mocked him, and Saul didn’t even believe in him. Yet when Goliath stood mocking God’s people, it was David, the single, overlooked, “ordinary” man, who stepped forward with faith. With just a sling and a stone, he brought the giant down. The lesson? You don’t need a big name, a position, or a family behind you to be strong. What you need is God on your side. Singleness isn’t weakness; it’s a season where God can show His power through you. New Testament – Paul the Apostle Paul never married. By the standards of his time, that might have looked strange. Yet, his singleness gave him freedom to trav...

The Tabernacle: A Story of God's Desire to Be Close

Image
Long before there were churches with microphones, lights, and stages… There was a tent in the wilderness . No Wi-Fi. No A/C. No throne. Just a command from God: đź“– "Make me a sanctuary so I may dwell among them." — Exodus 25:8 That sanctuary was called the Tabernacle — God’s house, made of fabric and wood, in the middle of the desert. It wasn’t fancy. But it was holy . Because God Himself chose to live there . ✝️ Everything Inside the Tabernacle Pointed to Jesus This wasn’t just decoration or tradition. Every item was a symbol . Labubu: A Child’s Toy or a Spiritual Trap?

Image
I want to share something that really made me stop and think. Few days, my four years old niece came up to me with a worried look on her face. She told me about this thing called Labubu — a doll she said she didn’t want. When I asked why, she simply said, “It’s a monster and at night it does bad things.” She’s only four, but she heard this from other kids her age. That was enough for me to feel a chill. So, like any adult, I went to the internet to check what Labubu really is — and what I found honestly made me uneasy. What Exactly Is Labubu? Labubu is part of a collectible designer toy line called The Monsters, created by a Chinese artist named Kasing Lung. It’s very popular in some circles — collectors buy them for huge sums, swap them like trophies, and show them off online. At first glance, Labubu looks like a cheeky cartoon monster with pointy teeth, long ears, and a grin that’s cute to some but creepy to others. It’s described as mischievous — part fairy tale goblin, ...

The Silent Host of Heaven: When the Angels Stood By at Calvary

Image
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ remains the most sacred and pivotal event in human history. It was at the cross where mercy and judgment met, and where the Son of God bore the sin of the world. Yet, within this scene of agony and redemption, Scripture hints at a profound unseen reality: the heavenly host, the armies of angels, stood by — watching, waiting, ready to intervene at His word. He Could Have Called Legions of Angels In Matthew 26:53 , during His arrest in Gethsemane, Jesus made a striking statement to Peter after he tried to defend Him with a sword:  “Do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:53, NKJV) A Roman legion typically numbered around 6,000 soldiers. Twelve legions would be over 72,000 angels. This was not hyperbole — Jesus was revealing that at any moment, He could summon an overwhelming heavenly force to deliver Him from the hands of men. Imagine for a mo...

What If Women Disappeared From Earth? A Glimpse into a World Without Her

Image
Imagine walking through a world without the soft sound of a mother’s lullaby, the gentle touch of a daughter’s hand, or the calming wisdom of a grandmother’s voice. Imagine a world without the laughter of little girls, without the grace, beauty, tenderness, or nurturing spirit that women carry. No wives. No mothers. No sisters. No daughters. It sounds unthinkable, doesn’t it? And yet, the world often forgets just how deeply interwoven women are into the fabric of everything that works, grows, heals, and sustains us. A Sudden Silence If the gender female vanished from Earth, the impact wouldn’t just be emotional or relational—it would be existential . Humanity would have no future, quite literally. There would be no children. No life-bearers. No natural nurturers. The human race would begin its countdown to extinction. Beyond biology, the absence of women would create a deep spiritual and social vacuum. Entire professions would suffer, care systems would collapse, comm...
