Choosing Love Over Lust: A Christian Perspective

Lust treats a person as an object to be used, love treats a person as a soul to be cherished (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

Lust is selfish, love is selfless (Philippians 2:3-4)

Lust is shortsighted, love works with eternity in view (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Lust is foolish, love is wise (Proverbs 3:13-18)

Lust rushes, love is patient (Galatians 5:22-23)

Lust is lazy, love is diligent (Proverbs 12:24)

Lust is poison, love gives life (John 10:10).

Choose love over lust, choose life over death (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Even if you've experienced brokenness or sin in this area, there is always life in Christ (Romans 8:1). Fight for health in every aspect of your relationship, but be especially watchful over your sexual intimacy and the attitudes with which you approach it (Hebrews 13:4).

May you find strength in God's love and guidance in His Word to navigate your relationships with wisdom and grace.
